Practical shooting is a sport that evolved from experimentation with handguns used for self-defense. The researchers were an international group of private individuals, law enforcement officers, and military people generally operating independently of each other, challenging the then-accepted standards of technique, training practices, and equipment. We shoot USPSA matches the second Saturday of the month
Steel Challenge is a steel match extraordinaire. The match is highly spectator-friendly and the competition is easy to understand – it is all about the speed. Steel shooting provides an excellent starting place for young or beginning shooters. SCSA matches occur the fourth Saturday of the month
IDPA is the use of practical equipment including full charge service ammunition to solve simulated real world self-defense scenarios using practical handguns and holsters that are suitable for self-defense use. The main goal is to test the skill and ability of an individual. You'll find these matches on the third Saturday of the month
Carbine and Multi-Gun are action shooting matches that use carbines or a combination of carbine, shotgun and pistol to engage various targets. This challenging form of shooting competition raises the bar in shooting competition. We run these and other matches occasionally.
